Books

Earth 7

A beautiful story of love and futility and humanity.

Alien Clay

Was really hoping this was a “the clay is alive” situation.

Tokyo Express

Not quite enough of a train lady to truly love this but it was a fun old-school detective procedural.

After Atlas

Even though the details of the previous book has mostly slipped my mind, I loved this futuristic detective story.

Forest on the Edge of Time

I appreciate when you can feel the edges of someone’s studies and obsessions in their fiction.

Movies

Primetime

Pattison is a great weirdo. What happens when a guy who wants to be Batman just makes a TV show? Where is the line between righteous fury, justice, respect for humanity and empathy? A lot of questions in this one and a banging soundtrack.

Resident Evil

Maybe the coolest one yet? Absolutely thrilling and hilarious.

Hot Spot

CYBER WITCH ALERT.
everyone in this is dressed in bizarre temu clubwear.
i respect that it has an utterly bizarre style, but there’s not much going on in it. like, there’s bits that made me think “OK YES MORE OF THIS” and then just minutes of bad ADR or actionless scenes

I Want Your Sex

Way more wholesome than I expected. Inside every cis man is a sissy fetish.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day

It would’ve been way funnier with Kelsey Grammer
